GBG will be Returning

16:53 local time on Tuesday, 12 January 2010, Haiti suffered a catastrophic 7.0mw earthquake. With an epicenter near the town of Léogâne, approximately 25 kilometers west of Port-au-Prince, the massive earthquake struck Haiti and transformed the capital city into a nightmare.  The moments of the 30-second quake left more than 250,000 people dead and more than 300,000 seriously injured.

Seven days later, greiBO stood on the rubble of a toppled building across the street from the Palace. A journey meant to document the devastation quickly turned into one of realization. A realization of the remarkable resiliency of hope and kindness of the people of Haiti. At that moment, the world rallied to Haiti’s aid, but sadly, attention seemed to have fallen away far too quickly. The city has yet to be rebuilt. GBG will be on the ground again soon.
